Stephanie and John were married at the Wente Winery in Livermore, CA. Before we photograph any wedding we have a consultation with the bride and groom to see what they have planned for the wedding day and what they have in mind as far as the style of photography (posed portraits, candid or photojournalism) they want. Some wedding couples may know exactly what they want, others, maybe not. Stephanie and John wanted a mix of posed and non-posed portraits during their pre wedding photography. Both Hagop and I enjoy weddings at wineries because you have so many choices for photography. We had worked at the Wente Winery before as well as other wineries in Livermore, but we had never known that Wente had big caves with wonderful doors. Stephanie and John requested some photography there and it great discovering something new!
We always try to capture all the details that go into your wedding day, like the name cards, flowers, lacing up the bride’s gown, the groom’s boutonniere…
One of my favorite shots of this wedding is (Sorry Stephanie and John) Hagop’s cake shot through the window. I think the feel of it and the fact that you can see the people in the background during the reception. The cake photograph is the last one so you’ll have to scroll through until the end.
