We have been photographing weddings at Mountain Terrace since it first opened for events. It is a beautiful venue at Woodside Road and Skyline Blvd. with a gorgeous view. Between Jennifer & Lincoln they have 4 boys, ages 15 years and up, whom they have been raising together. At this Mountain Terrace wedding they united their family surrounded by family and close friends. It was beautiful!

The day started at the 4 Seasons Hotel in Silicon Valley where everyone was getting ready. We started photography with Lincoln and the boys. He helped them get ready and they helped him, we captured the process. We then went to photograph Jennifer and her bridesmaids. Their makeup artist was still there putting the finishing touches on Jennifer. We captured the ladies helping her put on her wedding gown then we went down to the lobby to documents the first time they saw each other before leaving for the Mountain Terrace.

Jennifer saw the Mountain Terrace with a different eye. She took this great venue and made it into something new. They brought in different tables and chairs for their lawn dinner. There were couches and up lighting on the inside. They even brought in a guy to make buttons and magnets and Harvey’s Gourmet Donuts, who makes fresh donuts on the spot.

During the ceremony Jennifer & Lincoln had a sand ceremony. They not only combined each of their sand into one vessel but also had a jar of sand for each of the boys to add to the jar, symbolizing the uniting of their family.

The rest of the evening was full of dancing, laughter and fun! They had the formalities of weddings, ie. toasts, throwing of the garter and bouquet and the cutting of the cake. After all that it was time to enjoy the evening. We hope you enjoy the photos we captured during this special day for Jennifer & Lincoln.

A wedding at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay whether it is a sunny day or a hazy day it is very romantic and beautiful.
We started the day off with the getting ready shots of the bride and the groom. We went to their suite, photographed the commotion of the day, final touches for the hair and make up, shaving for the groom, wedding gown, tux, flowers, and other details.  The bride and groom decided they could see each other before the ceremony, but the bride didn’t want to groom to see her in her wedding dress. When everyone was ready we started portraits of the groom with his family and wedding party. Then we photographed the bride her family and wedding party. They were all a lot of fun!
They had a beautiful Catholic Wedding Ceremony at Our Lady of the Pillar in Half Moon Bay. They exchanged their vows and rings in front of their friends and family. Following the ceremony there was time for some family photos in the church.
When we arrived at the hotel the wedding coordinator from the Ritz Carlton Hotel had a golf cart waiting for us to go to the beach for some fun and romantic photos of just the bride and groom. The guests were enjoying the cocktail hour so we had some time. We took a little more time to photograph some solo shots of each of them. Of course we did some romantic photos of the two of them on the bridge, the beach, and a few with the hotel in the background. The grounds of the hotel are so beautiful for romantic wedding photos. These photos are always favorites of couples we photograph at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay.
The banquet room was beautiful!  They had the Miramar I-III banquet rooms that over look the golf course.  After the touching toasts of the best man and maid of honor, dinner was served. The dancing started after dinner followed by the cutting of the cake and garter and bouquet toss. A perfect end to a perfect day!

San Francisco City Hall Wedding photography for Lory & Chris

Sometimes when couples come from out of the Bay Area for their elopement or a San Francisco City Hall Wedding they want to be sure the photos tell the story of their trip, not just city hall so they take a little more time for photos.

Lory & Chris came from Los Angeles to get married at San Francisco City Hall. Though they love city hall with it’s amazing architecture, they also wanted to some photos around San Francisco to preserve their wedding weekend memories.  They hired us for 3 hours of coverage so we could take some photos around the city.

We met them in the hallway in front of the county clerk’s office. While waiting for their turn we discussed what they wanted as far as photography.  The wedding was in the rotunda, beautiful! After the ceremony we photographed Lory & Chris in city hall at the various levels to get some variety of different looks. It’s also nice to get a few photos outside city hall as they were leaving.  Then it was off to a few San Francisco landmarks. Our first stop was Lombard Street (the crooked street) for a quick shot or two. We were on our way to the Palace of Fine Arts and Crissy Field when we saw the cable car on Hyde Street and stopped for a few shots there.

The Palace of Fine Arts is always a beautiful background for photos. We took more time there and walked around to use the grounds for some romantic photos. From the Palace of Fine Arts we were going to try Crissy Field to get the Golden Gate Bridge but, we were in San Francisco and the bridge was foggy and hazy! There are other places to photograph the bridge though and it was something they wanted so we tried another location. As luck would have it, we could see the bridge at that time so we made that our last stop.

Stanford Memorial Church Wedding

Stanford Memorial Church Wedding Photography is always beautiful. The campus is perfect for portraits and the Stanford Memorial Church is so majestic. Winnie and Trevor both attended Stanford so it was a perfect choice to have a Stanford Memorial Church Wedding to exchange their wedding vows.

Pre-Wedding Photography
We started portraits with Trevor, his family and best man. They wanted to do as many photos as possible before the wedding so they would not be too long getting to the reception after the ceremony. They decided on a “first look”. When we finished with Trevor’s family we let Winnie know we were ready and we captured the first look they shared before the wedding.

After their special moment, we photographed Winnie with her family (her brother was her man of honor). We took the time they had left before the ceremony to take some romantic photographs of Winnie and Trevor.

Then we were off to do our Stanford Memorial Church Wedding Photography.

After the ceremony and the formal family photos, friends and families went to the reception at the Bay Café is located on the Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course. We stayed at Stanford with Winnie and Trevor to do a few more photos of just the two of them around the front of Stanford Chapel. They wanted some shots that we don’t usually do like from Palm Drive with the church and oval in the background and the other way on Palm Drive toward downtown Palo Alto. Both were great angles!

Wedding reception at The Bay Café
When we finished we headed over to The Bay Café located on the Palo Alto Municipal Golf Course. Winnie changed into her red Chinese dress. They joined their friends and families for their party. While we were waiting we took photos of the details (flowers, guest book etc.) and some candid photos of the guests. All the formalities of the wedding like the toasts, first dance, parents’ dance, cutting of the cake etc. went smoothly. We even had some to take Winnie and Trevor out at dusk for some sunset shots on the golf green with the perfect light!

Valley Presbyterian Church Wedding Photography

Valley Presbyterian Church Wedding Photography with a wedding reception at the University Club in Palo Alto for Melissa and Josh. Two beautiful venues chosen by a great couple. This is how we documented their memories.

Pre wedding at Cornelis Bol Park in Palo Alto

Pre wedding photography started with getting ready shots of the bride. These photos included taking pictures of the bride’s gown and the dresses of the bridesmaid as well as the bride’s accessories like her necklace, shoes, bouquet… The pre wedding photos continued at a park close to where the bride was getting ready, Cornelis Bol Park in Palo Alto. Besides the portraits of the bride, her bridesmaids, maid and matron of honor we also took the first look. For this wedding we had two first look, the first was the first time her father saw her in her wedding dress (it was truly a special shot) and the second when the groom first laid eyes on his bride. Photos of both families, the groom and his attendants were also taken at Cornelis Bol Park in Palo Alto.

Wedding Ceremony at the Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley

The Valley Presbyterian Church in Portola Valley is always a beautiful church for a wedding ceremony. The giant windows behind the alter look out on majestic redwoods. Though photographically a challenge, it is so beautiful. All the formal family photos we taken here too.

Wedding Reception at The University Club in Palo Alto

During the pre wedding day consultation with the couple where we plan out the wedding photography schedule with the couple, they decided they wanted to take a few shots on the beautiful grounds of the University Club. They decided on the signature bridge, a wonderful place for photography. The reception that followed was full of great speeches, special dances and fun!

We hope you enjoy these special photos.
