Armenian Wedding Photography SF
Weddings have different meanings for different people. Each couple comes to us and has their own unique idea of how they envision their wedding memories. For Lisa and Paul I think that even though all the details and planning for their Armenian Wedding photography was important, in the end it was the family and friends that was so very special for their day.
Lisa and Paul came to us through 2 referrals. We met with them and Lisa’s parent during the first meeting. They all expressed their needs for the wedding photography. It was great seeing the dynamics of the family.
One of the things that they wanted was an engagement portrait session. We enjoy photographing engagement portraits. It gives the couple a chance to work with each other and us before the wedding day. The portrait session was in San Francisco at Baker Beach and The Legion of Honor. You may see a video slide show of each by clicking on the links.
They decided to start with Paul and his groomsmen for pre wedding photography. The guys got ready at the Hotel Monaco in downtown San Francisco. We took advantage of their great sitting area with wonderful window light for Paul’s portraits and photos with the energetic groomsmen. They were a great group of guys! Lot’s of fun!
Lisa was at the JW Marriot a few blocks away. We arrived just as the make up artist was applying the final touches. Perfect timing. Her wedding gown was beautiful and she looked breathtaking in it. Her bride’s maids were great. She wanted her pre wedding portraits to be a bit more avant garde, though we also did shot some more traditional shots.
Their wedding was a traditional Armenian wedding ceremony at St. John Armenian Church, San Francisco.
On the way to the reception we stopped at the Palace of Fine Arts to take some photos of the wedding party and the bride and groom.
When we arrived at the The Presidio Golden Gate Club for the wedding reception, the guests were well into the cocktail hour. Jessica from Dreams on a Dime Events & Weddings whisked Lisa and Paul and their wedding party upstairs to relax and have some hors d’oeuvres before their grand entrance.
The grand entrance was traditional Armenian. They danced in to a traditional wedding song sung by Khatchig Jingirian that celebrates the arrival of the bride and groom to the festivities. It was great, many relatives joined in as the music continued.
After an amazing dinner by Yvonne of Stella’s Cuisine, we had great speeches by the best man matron of honor and various family members. DJ Raffy and Khatchig Jingirian kept the party going!
